L&J Get Married – San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer- Danville Wedding Photographer- Hap Magee Ranch Park

I met L & J over coffee in Dublin. I knew the minute I walked into Starbucks that I absolutely HAD to capture their wedding. We just hit if off immediately and spent the majority of that meeting talking more like friends than interviewers and interviewee. When Joyce described the details of her wedding I was all in right then and there… Bright and whimsical pops of color mixed with vintage and sentimental elements; her mother and grandmother’s wedding dresses on an old wooden ladder as their ‘alter’; a jenga puzzle as their ‘guest book’; games of croquet to commemorate a traditional family pastime; succulents in her bouquet; the list just went on and on and got better and better with every word out of her mouth. And then there is Loren…he has this welcoming aura and warmth about him that is so sincere. He has a million dollar smile and when he uses it to look at Joyce I just kinda wanna fall in love and get married all over again (same guy I originally married, naturally). So yeah, I had to be there at this wedding…even if it meant crashing it as a guest just to sign my own jenga piece! So when Joyce called to tell me I was ‘the one’ I kinda squealed and then started counting down the days until their wedding. And oooohhhhh what a wedding it was. But funny enough, when push came to shove, all of the reasons I was so excited about it were dulled in comparison to why I love it so much and it will forever be one of my most cherished days as a photographer. The emotion and happiness and pure JOY that radiated from these two and every single person in attendance will forever leave a little piece of my heart segmented for just them. It was truly a LOVE fest all around and to simply be in it’s presence was awe inspiring.

Joyce and Loren – I am obsessed with you two…I can’t imagine a more perfect day for two people more perfect for one another. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. Cannot wait to meet up for wine and hear all about your honeymoon. In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorite moments from your beautiful day!

Such a fun take on a ‘photo booth’Let the games begin!Absolutely loved the idea of celebrating family and marriage with this beautiful ladder that included the bride’s mother and grandmother’s wedding dresses!Ummm…how adorable are the bride and her Daddy?!It was pretty special to see the connection between mother and son.I could not get enough of this bouquet! So this started as a great little couples portrait opportunity…and then it took an interesting turn…Ohhhh John Dana….you kill me you little prankster!
