Say hello to one of my favorite families! I have been photographing this group since A turned 1. She is now 5 and a BIG SISTER to a fun and rambunctious little sister that has me laughing to running at every session. Each and every year we aim to try a new location and really switch things up. This year we selected the vineyards and had a great time shooting (and did I mention running).

The biggest compliment someone can give me is to not trust me once with their family photos, but to continue to trust me year after year. Loved getting to see this good looking family again in front of the lens! It’s always so much fun to see the kids grow but also work with THEM on their ideas for posing and angles. These 3 kiddos gave me so many great options and lots of laughs in the process.

There is really nothing that wasn’t perfect about this maternity session. We had amazing weather, dreamy light, a great location and the most adoring mom and dad to be! I loved spending time with these two and talking about their family and daughter on the way. That sweet baby girl made her way safely into the world this month and I can’t wait to meet her at home soon for more photos to celebrate this family of now THREE!

I made the decision this summer to discontinue ‘small events’ from my photography offering. While it’s exciting to be moving in a different direction with my business I’ll always have a soft spot for the parties and milestone events that helped to guide me toward larger opportunities! That being said, I still have plenty of ‘personal’ projects that will satisfy my need to shoot sweet details and party with the little ones. Which brings me to an overdue blog on my own Gigi’s 6th birthday. We are a big ‘theme’ family and I absolutely LOVE taking a general idea and expanding it to celebrate each of my kid’s birthdays. Gigi seems to be following in my footsteps and pretty much starts planning her next year’s party about 3 hours after the current year party is concluded. Last year (following a fun school themed fling with a monster mix in) she informed me that when she turned 6 she wanted an ‘ice cream party’. Say no more sweet girl…one old fashioned ice cream social coming up! I love how this pastel and ice cream inspired party came together complete with a DIY ice cream sundae station and jumpy house entertainment (is it really a party without one?). Add in a surprise addition of one of our FAVORITE Italian ice shops (in coordinating colors of course)  http://www.ritasice.com and we had a little something for everyone! Such a sweet way to celebrate my sweet girl on her special day. Next up, plans for a certain first born son that turns into a teenager in a few months…yikes!
